THE EVIDENCE LANDSCAPE

Find your counterpart.

How to read this ↗

Five profiles pass the relevance test: a named compute product, GPU workload, GPU hosting relationship or specific AI procurement. Seven broader or planned signals sit in a separate watchlist. Reviewed 1 October 2026. Inclusion does not establish a GPU purchase commitment or a credit rating. Country indicates the market linked to the evidence, not necessarily headquarters.

01 / BUY COMPUTE

Find a supply counterpart.

Find GPU services, colocation and announced supply. Check each profile’s availability stage before requesting a quote.

02 / OPERATE CAPACITY

Qualify potential demand.

Explore published workloads and procurement signals. Identify the budget and contract questions to ask next.

03 / ASSESS A COUNTERPARTY

Start with the disclosures.

Find organisations with published financial statements and inspect the remaining evidence gaps.

Default view: documented activity. The watchlist retains researched organisations whose GPU relevance or purchasing intent still needs qualification. Financial backing is shown separately from commercial readiness.

READ THE EVIDENCE

Demand is a signal.
A contract is proof.

This first edition helps operators, engineering teams and prospective partners decide what to investigate next. It is a research index, with no paid placement or implied SSA customer relationship.

Inspired by Liquid Compute’s GPU Offtaker Credit Map ↗. SSA’s regional profiles and evidence categories are independently assembled; no affiliation or endorsement is implied.

Qualification and evidence standards

Documented activity: a named compute offering, released GPU workload, named GPU hosting relationship or specific AI procurement. Each profile includes an entity description, source-linked facts, financing evidence and a decision question. This is relevance qualification, not credit approval or proof of current buying intent.

Watchlist: broad AI strategy, a general cloud offering, research affiliation or planned expansion without the more specific evidence above. A funded organisation can still belong here. CRDB’s closed procurement is labelled historical; Sunbird’s workload does not establish a capacity order.

GPU-specific: a source names GPU infrastructure or a workload’s GPU requirements. It can describe supply as well as demand.

AI procurement: an AI/ML procurement notice, which may already be closed. It does not necessarily require dedicated GPUs.

AI / cloud activity: published research, services or partnerships. Planned capacity: an announced regional expansion, not verified commissioning.

Why there is no credit score

Public announcements cannot establish cash available for a particular contract, monthly burn, existing obligations or payment security. Published financial statements provide disclosure, not an automatic credit endorsement. Funding amounts, revenue, profits and published prices are different measures; none is interchangeable with unrestricted cash or an approved GPU budget.

Before credit approval, obtain audited accounts for the actual legal counterparty, current liquidity and debt obligations, the authorised budget, contract value and tenor, termination rights, payment currency, guarantees and evidence of downstream demand.

Coverage, dates and limitations

Version 1.2 covers Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ethiopia. It is not a census of East Africa or all East African Community members. Kenya is overrepresented in this initial source set. Missing organisations and markets are research gaps, not evidence of absent demand.

Sources include company catalogues, model documentation, financial reports, investor portfolio records, a government export-finance transaction and an issuer annual report hosted by a partner. Announcements are issuer claims, not independent operational audits. Publication dates and reporting periods are preserved per source; undated documents are marked. All profiles were reviewed on 1 October 2026. This is a dated snapshot, not a live feed.

Profiles use operating names. A parent’s finances do not establish a subsidiary’s ability to pay. Workload interpretations and next-step questions are SSA analysis. No GPU offtake contract has been verified for these entries.
